No! Absolutely not! This is probably the most asked question. A lot of people hear the word "weld" and are automatically convinced that it is going to hurt. The process is completely painless. You and your skin is protected from the welder at all times by a thick piece of genuine leather. I am ONLY welding the jewelry. I am NOT welding jewelry onto/into your skin.

I use a small micro, pulse-arc welder to weld the jump ring so it is a closed loop. Once the jump ring is welded, the piece can no longer be removed, except by being cut.

Theoretically, 14k gold filled and sterling silver can last a lifetime. However, we unfortunately do not live in a perfect world. Both metals can last a lifetime if perfectly cared for, stored, and only worn occasionally. In the case of permanent jewelry, being worn and exposed everyday, they can realistically last for several years with proper care. See our 'Info' page for specific care instructions!

No, you cannot! That is the whole point of it being (semi) permanent! All our jewelry is clasp-less, meaning you do not take it off like your regular jewelry! It is intended to be worn all day, everyday! And its quality is meant to withstand that! If removal is necessary, it can absolutely be cut off!
